MSN keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every 2min!!!

Hey everyone,

I have MSN Messenger 6.1 and as mentioned in the title, MSN keeps signing in and out all the time. It is getting very frustrating.

I have verified my settings, my physical connections and I even tried this winsock tool that I found in another post and nothing worked. Can anyone help me? I'm lost for ideas.

Not really enough information to offer you a definite answer. I'm assuming you're using a dial-up connection. It could be a bad phone line with a lot of line noise. Have you connected to any other Internet providers on this phone line? Can you connect your PC to a different phone jack and dial from there?

Hi there,

I am using MSN 6.1 Messenger and XP and also have the same problem, after 10 or so minutes the silly thing signs out..

I have checked all the tick boxes and followed other help.. I wish I never update from 6 to 6.1

Any suggestions?
