MSN Freezing when accessed via ISA Server

I have msn messenger 6.0 running on a Windows 2000 Pro Client, connected to a Windows 2000 server running ISA server...

...all internet access is currently open to all users and MSN messenger connects directly; not thru any kind of proxy settings in msn.

MSN messenger tends to freeze and release at random points...i have put this down to ISA server and when previously running NAT without ISA server there are no issues

Any help is welcomed

How do you have the pc Configured to Access the Isa Server?
Is the Firewall Client Software installed?

Yes the firewall client is installed and the IE settings are as follows

Auto Detect Proxy Settings Checked
and also checked is use manual proxy server
NetSrv 8080

and msn is set without any proxy at all
