I am wanting to use MSN Messenger but am behind a Netpilot firewall.

Ive tried setting up the options i.e i have checked the i use a proxy server, http proxy, port 8000(our firewall port)and have put the server address in (192.*.*.*) in MSN but to no avail.

It tells me the service cannot be found. Please make sure you are connected to the internet.

Any ideas?

I am not familiar with Netpilot products, but assuming it is a firewall and not a proxy you should not need to tell MSN to use a proxy.

It should be a case of enabling the port MSN uses on the firewall or telling MSN to use a port that is already open.
