msl5026 drive cleaning tape

hello guys

at work we have a few msl5026 librarys that won,t recognize a sdlt cleaning tape

keeps coming up as unrecognized media and drives have the latest firmware

cleaning tapes are new

anyone else had this problem or know of a cure or maybe a slot has to be assigned for the clening tape

any help appreciated guys

Run arcserve device configuration - there is an option to specify a slot number for the cleaning tape.

You can also configure this from the hardware. The MSL series has the capability te enable autoclean.This way a slot is reserved for cleaning purposes, it will be hidden from ARCserve. Once enabled you don't have to bother on when to clean a drive, this is completely taken care of by the tape library.
Check the MSL manual on the autoclean feature
