Hi All

Has anyone installed MSL on a Dell 1950 server? If so did you just boot from the iso of MSL or use the Dell utilities disk?

I did on a different poweredge R200
I did not use a utilitydisk
Why do you need to know ?
Raid drivers maybe ?
Those are on the latest msl software

Installing msl on a 1950 and apparently (haven;'t seen it myself yet) it come up with something about no drrives? Even though there are 2 X 500G raid 1 drives in there?

Any ideas?

Also, the guys tried using the utility disk and that didn't work either.

I could not install the 8.2.8.0 versoin because of the raid1 drivers
I can not remember if the error was the same but it worked for me with 8.2.15.0

thanks, have downloaded that version and will try next week.

Take it you just put the disc in the embedded drive and just fired up the server yes? And away you went (like youd expect)

YUP,

No issues
