It's been a long time since I've had to do this and just can't recall how...

We have a site that has refused upgrades over the years and recently was to switch to Mitel hosted. With the Mitel/Ring-Central partnership, they've decided to not do the hosted phones just yet.

Their IT dept has mucked up the firewall settings and VPN to the site isn't working any longer.

The site does have a 6000 MAS (yeah, it's that old) running 7.0.2.11 and Teleworker 4.1.28.

I had the PPTP client set up to work years ago with my Windows XP laptop...

I tried to set up the connection on my Windows 8.1 laptop and Windows 10 Desktop... both failed to connect.
"Error 734: the PPP link control protocol was terminated."

anyhow, if anyone has instructions on setting this up successfully, I'd be happy to buy you a beer.

I found some info in the Mitel Knowledgebase.

Everything that I've tried has failed. I downloaded the certificate and it shows a size of 0.. so, I don't think my computer actually downloaded it.

Their IT department messaged me to tell me they've fixed their VPN and I was able to connect.

Now to work on getting them on Hosted like they were planning to.
