Does anyone know a solution, when installing MSL8.3.19.0 for a Nupoint Messenger server it hangs on PCI: Probing PCI hardware (bus00)

A HP-desktop pc, dc7800p, dualcore 2,33Ghz, 160Gb SATA drive, 1Gb RAM.
I have been trying out several BIOS settings, but nothing seems to work

Probably because its not supported hardware.

MSL now does a check for hardware when you install it.

If your bios allows it, turn off acpi. Does not work on all machines, though.

When loading MAS 7.x or MSL 8.x, message displayed "Probing PCI Bus 00" server installation hangs.
Workaround #1: Hold the shift key at boot time, and when you see "boot:",
type "sme pci=nommconf" then press ENTER
Workaround #2: Change SATA setting in the BIOS to Legacy mode.

Thanks, that was it, I read that I could use a command sme pci=nommconf, but was unable to execute the command before booting, the shift key did the trick, that simple :)

Next question: after installation complete and rebooting, I need to manually enter this command again, can I put this in de boot-options, and save it for future-reboots?
