msimn.exec generating errors

In a moment of utter stupidity I deleted oulook express because I was having a problem with a referenced memory error. Thought I could just download another one. It's only avail. as part of IE. Thought hmm I'll just try reinstalling an update that includes it. No good. So I restored the copy in my recycle bin but the exe file is screwed and it won't open. error is msimn.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows.

Help!

I'd say you have already checked this, but it may help...

other than that you may try reloading SP4 from a full install.
If you happen to create ERD disks on a regular basis you may try restoring from that. Hope this helps, good luck.
