We are using Office 2000 pro on Windows 2000 Pro PC's. We install Office as a local admin. Everthing installs and works fine. After the install a non-local admin logs into office and attempts to open Word. The installer for Office opens. It will only complete if the user has local admin privalages, if not it does not complete properly and each time the user logs in the installer kicks in. Is there a way around this (so once we install Office it will open up for all users, or do all my users have to have local admin privalages for the initial openning of office. After the installer completes, I can remove the the user out of the local admin group and everything works fine. If there is a way around this that would be great. we use roaming profiles and we have several multiuser PC' and the current issue is a real headache

Thank you

You can try to create a user with admin privs, run the installer for each componenet of office as that user. Then go into my computer properties, profiles, and copy that users profile to the default user profile. Then, each new user that logs in should be able to fire up word, exce, etc.. and never see the installer.
