Hi all,
I recently upgraded my old video card to the MSI G4MX440-t, however, whenever I run a video game the system "locks up" with the sound in an endless loop (sounds like Max Headroom) and the screen gets horizontal lines accross the screen. The only thing I can do is reboot to clear the problem. The two video game I have had the problems with are Sacrifice (with the latest patches), and MS Windows XP Plus "Hyperbowl".
I have Windows XP Pro with NVIDEA (MSI version) drivers version 28.90 for XP on an ABIT KT7-RAID AMD 900MHZ system with 384 MB RAM. The DirectX I have is 8.1b. I do have the latest BIOS for both the motherboard and video card -- I have done no over-clocking of any sort to either.
Any idea's one what is causing this, and how I can fix it? Thanks in advance.
