I am trying to create a McAfee VirusScan 4.5 installation MSI and I'm having repeated error. After creating the MSI and running it I get this dialog: " Setup Initialization Error Setup is unable to locate the script file <C:\PROGRAM.INS> which is needed to complete the installation. Error 107"
Now for the all important background info: The systems I am installing to are W98SE, Office 2000, I have tested on 3 systems, 2 Gateway and 1 Dell, the speeds are 233, 450 and 350 respectively. It worked correctly only on the 233 Gateway, that system has Office 2000 SR1 installed, but so does the Gateway 450. All 3 systems are running MS Installer version 1.20.1827.0
There are no leftover TEMP directories named xxx.T, I have removed the value for the Installer REG entry HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\components\19F85D245799064EA0
There are no .TSK files in the TEMP directory.
