Solved:
I got it. The manual for NS700 said to find the Manual registration option under Main, but it is really under Site

PBX Configuration > Configuration > Slot > System Property > Site

I forced deregistration on the three bad guys and then set "Full Automation option" for "IP Terminal Registration Mode"

---------original msg ----------
Hi Friends,

I've got a few devices in the IP property list for which the IP's belong to other devices, i.e., computers. For example, the MAC addresses of three devices shown in the property list are of Dell computers(!).

I'm not sure how to remove them. I tried the Deregistration and Force deregistration but I get the error "This operation is available in the manual registration mode only." So will were they supposed to eventually just go away? The thing is, the three devices have had these IP's for months and the NS700 was rebooted 9 days ago.

Any and all thoughts appreciated!

Cheers,
-Bob

Hi,

Auto registration is a bad idea as any person who knows the ip of the system can enter a valid unused extension and connect to the system. Or If you have extension numbers already on empty ports they can pick them up.

Unfortunately you can’t change this without defaulting the system.

Put unregistered ports in cos 7 for security

To remove the device, edit the port property and delete the mac.

If the port is in fault and not in service it will show the last ip it had, doesn’t necessarily mean the phones are using the ip.
