Msg "product.dat corrupted" when tring to install pach

This refers to SYS:SYSTEM/PRODUCTS.DAT and can be quite serious. Best thing to do is to see whether you can either salvage or restore a copy of this file from the last time you installed a patch.
You cannot delete it or you will loose your installed products list, plus it may cause other issues. "It's true, its damn true!"
