MSG Light Is Delayed Or Does Not Light

I am new to Merlin Magix (came from Inter-Tel AXXESS) and to this company. I have been assigned the task of fixing the phone/voice mail system that was jury rigged by Avaya/Expanets with upgraded components a year ago. Since then they have had a whole slew of problems that I need to resolve, so, you will be hearing a lot from me for a while. I want to thank you in advance for your assistance and advanced knowledge of the Magix system.

We have been having trouble with the MSG lights on our handsets (mostly MLX-10). More often than not when an extension receives a voice mail the MSG light is delayed (sometimes up to 4 hours) or never turns on at all. Other times the light turns on within a minute of the voice mail being received (as it should).

We are running Merlin Magix 2.0 v10.2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a flash upgrade availabe from Avaya that corrected errors in the 2.0 line.
