Msg.Box with problems

Hello there

I have a quick question...when i click on my hyperlink a message box opens up and says that the file that i want to open has come from a unknown computer and make sure that its a trust worthy computer. i tried to setwarnings false but that didnt work. the message is in a office box so i dont think that its an access problem

Sounds like you have some anti virus software running, which is automatically being initiated based on the action of the hyperlink. Or it could be that you are initiating opening a document which has autostart macros in it, which you are being warned about. If you publish the text behind the hyperlink, we might be able to provide more directed help.

If you are trying to open a file from code, have a look at my FAQ: faq705-1971
Copy the code into a module then just call fHandleFile(strFilename,WIN_NORMAL) to open your file in whatever program it is registered with.

Thanks for the help everybody! The File that i am opening is a .pdf file, i think that it might be the anti-virus. But what i dont really understand is that the file is coming off of my network drive so it should recognize the source.
