MSFT releases Blaster removal tool on 12/31/2003

It only took a little over 4 months, but Microsoft has published its Blaster Worm Removal Tool.

Considering the numerous third-party tools that have been out, I'm surprised they bothered to publish a removal tool at all. Especially since they had the patch available well before the worm hit... which could have been prevented by a $20 router or software firewall (including the one that ships with XP).
