msflexgrid - no scrollbars???

i don't know why, but my flexgrid doesn't display scrollbars. i have them turned on in the properties (ScrollBars = 3 - FlexScrollBarsBoth). However, when i the flexgrid doesn't fit in the container, the scrollbars don't show. anyone got any clues here? thanks

i forgot to mention that i have my flexgrid set up for data entry with a dynamic textbox. i think that may be the problem.
