I am trying to utilize the same functionality I built in VB6 in access and i'm finding that the MSFLEXGRID seems different? I can't seem to find any information on using an MSFLEXGRID in access either via google or here.

I'm just trying to figure out why certain events are not available in access as they are in VB. I've got the control added and the form built but when I try to track mouse events...those events are not available? Is it just different in access versus VB?

Any thoughts or tips would be great...thank you.

I dont have an nanswer to your problem but I would say that there is quite a difference between VB and VBA, despite it just being a letter of the alphabet it calls for a different mindset approach.
A lot of the functionality of Access in inbuilt whereas with VB everything (figuratively speaking) has to be physically programmed in.
There is also a large difference I have noticed with VBA for Excel.

Inky,
Thanks for the reply and yes I have worked in both and seen the differences. I guess I was just wondering why the same control would have such limited functionality from one to the other being that it is a Microsoft control. I didn't expect to see 4- 5 events with that control where there are many many more in VB. I was just hoping it wasn't something I was doing incorrectly...

I hope someone has some other suggestion also...

Have you tried to play with the ObjectBrowser (F2 key when in VBE) ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Honestly I haven't but how would that help me? Any tricks that I don't know about?

how would that help me?
You'll discover all the methods, properties and events exposed by the control.

ok I should have been more clear..i've never used object browser to see that information. I guess I don't know how to do what you are saying. I always use the IDE to control properties to attach code to events or through the drop downs in the code window. I didn't mean I had no idea what it does..but I never used it for a control. I appreciate the help...
