I have a flexgrid that has a column of a fixed width.

I am populating the rows of that column from a DB.

Is there anyway to programatically check that a particular character (example: the 59th)in a cell is visible to the user?

I am using a proportional font like Arial. If I use a fixed width font then there is no problem, but how can it be done with a proportional font?

Thanks ... Greg.

I would simply changed tooltip property of the grid (assuming the free selection) to display relatively long content of a cell.

Two strings walk into a bar. The first string says to the bartender: 'Bartender, I'll have a beer. u.5n$x5t?*&4ru!2[sACC~ErJ'. The second string says: 'Pardon my friend, he isn't NULL terminated'.

Thank you all,

This is just perfect, have a star Dr JavaJoe
