MSExchangeTransport Starting

HI,

We have a 2008 running exchange 2007 Sp1


All of a sudden the MS Exchange Transport service sticks on starting when the server loads up.

The stops the information store and the system attendant from starting.

We get lots of event errors saying exchange is unable to find a GC.

DNS is fine and DCdiag runs fine with no error on the AD servers.

Exchange is NOT on a AD server

We are unable to install SP2 for exchange while it's in this state

Any Ideas?
