MSDTC Service not available

When executing a DTS package I receive the following error;

Error Source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package

Error Description: Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coorinator (MSDTC service) is not available.
---

Contrary to the messsage, the service is apparently running, and I've tried stoppping and restarting it. I've seen a similar error before though rebooting the server stopped it occurring. On this occasion a reboot has failed to solve the problem.

Anyone else have experience of this ?

Are you running the package on the server or a client m/c?

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy.

This often happens if a win2003 server is included. dtc isn't installed by default (and you can't tell from enterprise manager) and sql server has to be restarted after it is installed.
