I am linking a mitel sx2000 with a microlite using msdn. They both support msdn and have enough digital links in the mfrd to support it. I have tested the ds1 formatter card by loopng the hybrids to one aother and it worked fine on both ends. I just don't know how far apart they can be before you have to put in a csu/dsu.

currently they are approximately 1200 feet apart.

Thanks,

Joe

Back to back I believe 1200 feet is fine. I can check tomorrow when I'm at the office, but I personally think you are good to go.

I ended up putting a couple of Adtran TSU 120's on the line and it all works great now.

Whoops, forgot to get this from the edocs for you. Here's what I was able to find:
Note: The DS1 interface meets the AT&T DSX-1 specification for distances up to 655 feet (200 m) using 22 AWG (22 IWG) shielded cable. The interface can operate at up to 750 feet (229 m) but compliance with the AT&T DSX-1 specification is not guaranteed at this distance. For greater distances, a repeater must be used.

Guess 1200 feet is just a little out of reach.
