MSDE service pack 3

I am using the McAfee ePO product which installed MSDE. I am upgrading and the instructions say that the requirements are MSDE with service Pack 3. When I check to see what it has it says:
Microsoft SQL Server Service manager
Version 7.00.839

I checked and I believe this is sp 2.

Is MSDE the same as SQL Server 7? I do not see the full SQL server 7 program on the machine.

When I search for msde sp3, I only see service packs for sql 7 and olap.

Does anyone no if I need to install the sql 7 sp3 for MSDE and are sql 7.0 and msde the same?

Yes. SQL Server 7.0 service packs are designed for both SQL Server 7.0 and MSDE 1.0. SQL Server 7.0 service packs will recognize an MSDE 1.0 installation and update only the files that pertain to MSDE 1.0.
