Hi,
I'm new to this forum and this is my first post.
I have SQL Server 2000 client installed on my work machine (and I do not have access to any SQL instances, neither locally nor on the network) and want to have MSDE 2000 installed on this machine so that I could have a local instance of SQL Server engine to try out some DB-centric apps.
My question is, can both SQL Server 2000 (Client) and MSDE 2000 coexist on the same box without interfereing with each other's installation/execution? I do not want to disturb/alter the existing installation of the SQL Server 2000 as it is a part of my company's standard build?
Any tips/suggestions/comments are most welcome.
Thanks for your help in advance.
