MSCS with RAW SAN

I wish to create a clustered enviroment with windows server 2003 on a ESX server 3.0.1, I need to have a RAW drive mapping for the data I wish to be accessed in a 24/7 enviroment.
Will I need to install the windows SAN tools on the windows 2003 servers, to enable this to work correctly.
