Hi,

Has anyone had a problem with MSCS not allowing a resource move or failover? On both NT and 2K, MSCS appears to try, but the external drive appears to not release.

Are you sure your resources within the clusters are "allowed" to be owned by either node? You must define this when setting up your resources.

The drives were already shared by each node. After installing DNS and AD on the DC (Win2K), resources can be manually moved OK on the nodes. Now, when a test runs commanding failover from a client, it appears that the cluster or domain security blocks the name resolution or execution. Also the Cluster administrator will not allow security changes.

Hi,
I am having problem,during Failover.
We have configured the Oracle database and Configured the oracle Fail Safe.
Node 1 was active and for testing we have done the disk pullout on RAID 5E,After the disk pullout compression and Synchronisation was complete successfully.tHEN DECIDED TO do the Failover from Node2 to Node1.So I restared the Node2 to test the Failover from node2 to node1.
Resources seems to be moved and synchronisation starts it completes two logical drive Synchronisation, but fails when it tries synchronising the Shared disk Array(which form the Multiple RAID1 AND RAID 5E),Synchronisation fails subsequently the Oracle database not able to access.
Can anyone able to tell me what is the problem.
Note:Node1 to Node2 failover is smooth but not the same fromnode1 to Node2

waiting for your reply eagrly

Regards
Raju
