MSChart - How to make transparent

I am using MSChart w\ a 2d line graph & need to be able to change the background of a row based on certain criteria.

So I need to make the chart transparent or I need to be able to plot a bar chart behind the grid on the same chart as the 2d line graph.

I have tried:
