MSC1 and MSC1a

Hi there....

I just wonder... its long ago so i dont remember... Whats the difference between MSC 1 and MSC 1a and do i need a MSC1A for a BCM 1000 with Rel 3.7 or Rel 4.0? There is no new MSC in the Upgrade Documentation but i still have in mind there was something important about that?!?

MSC 1 was for the original Enterprise Edge units - back in the 1.0 days. They didn't last too long. Can't go any higher than release 2.03 on one of those cards. I haven't seen one in years. They typically have a plastic plug in the DS-256 (expansion port) plug.

1A's can run all releases from 2.0 to current - they almost always have a green dot sticker on them.
