2 things.
one) XP (sigh yes) on leaving AOL will not reboot, it hangs on reboot, the mouse won't work and I think it is HW related, not AOl. Ideas? After three, four or five reboots it works again, no error messages.
two) on XP - my Nikon camera will not download photos into its program. It says the device (camera) is not found, right after it has been reloaded (many many times) anyone know of software that I can use to get the dang OS to recognize my camera and take my photos off the chip? I like the camera but cannot use it if I cannot get the pictures off. It was working fien with WIN98. (No I do not want to load 98, want to learn XP-might as well, lots of PCs coem with it now.)
Thanks much in advance

Did you load the service pack for XP? I have seen (and even had) problems with XP after installing SP1. If you did install the SP1, try going to add/remove programs and uninstalling it. As for the camera, try going to the manufactures web site to see if they have the latest drivers for download. Also, try going to the windows updates page to see if there are any hotfixes available.

Hope this helps some, WMH

Did not load the SP1 service pack, no, not much experience with XP (that is why I kept it, to learn.) Will do that, and yes the Nikon web site was totally non-helpful! Not even a number to call. Thank you so much for your reply!
