MS Works crashes my computer (Works dont Work)

Hi there,

I have a slight problem with my MS Works. Whenever I try and open a saved file it crashes my computer (blue screen).

I have tried opening the same files on other computers and they open fine. I think it must be a problem with my MS Works itself.

I have tried uninstalling it and re-installing it but the same thing happens. Has anyone got any suggestions?

If the file has been written/modified on another computer, try to save it there in a different format (and with a different name) and then reload it on your computer.

The file was written on the same computer - before a fatal crash which meant I had to format the drive.

So unfortunately I can't do that.

I just wondered if there was anything I could do to the actual Works programme to stop it from crashing?
