Hi--I'm an Access guru, but someone at work is trying to do something MS Word and I'm trying to help him. I'm not up on "forms" in MS Word either.
He made some check boxes (I see now he did it with the ActiveX controls instead of the "form" toolbar) - he put them in the footer of the first page so that it will always be on the bottom of the first page no matter how much stuff the user types into the top portion of the first page. Even if they type in a lot, he wants their typing to go to the second page and the check boxes to remain at the bottom of the first page.
Problems: the doc opens in "design view" no matter what I do (been reading here and in HELP). Clicking then on the check boxes makes it go into sort of an "edit" mode instead of just "checking the box".
I made some "FORM" check boxes instead, seem to be what he needs. HOwever you cannot put these items in the FOOTER (illegal), and no matter how much I "protect" or make a SECTION which is protected, etc, it still moves down to page 2 if I type in a bunch of stuff in the middle of page 1.
So--any ideas? Thanks.
