We have recently upgraded to Office 2007 and I have one PC that has changed ownership in the Company and the new user showed me that when she opens a Word doc it automatically opens in the print preview screen in front of the regular view screen. I assume that the previous user changed a setting to allow this. In Office 2000 I would assume that I would have found this in the User file but not sure where to go in here? I have scratched around in the help files but not finding what I think I should be looking for. Any help?

There are 5 Document Views in Word 2007, as far as I can tell:
[ol][li]Print Layout[/li]
[li]Full Screen Reading[/li]
[li]Web Layout[/li]
[li]Outline[/li]
[li]Draft[/li][/ol]

So, I wonder if what you're seeing is the "Full Screen Reading" Document View. If so, it must be set as the default layout, which may simply be stored in the default Word Doc...

I thought for sure I've seen the specific option before, but can't put my cursor on it at the moment. I'll keep searching.

It sure sounds like "Full Screen Reading". Are these Word documents sent as e-mail attachments? Even if they aren't try the following from Microsoft Word 2007 help:
Viewing and navigating documents
To see where many Word 2003 commands are located in the new Microsoft Office Fluent user interface, you can use the Interactive: Word 2003 to Word 2007 command reference guide. The guide is a visual, interactive tool that helps you quickly learn where commands are in Office Word 2007
To turn off Full Screen Reading view and return to Print Layout view, press ESC.
To prevent Full Screen Reading view from opening automatically, in Full Screen Reading view, click View Options, and then click Don't Open Attachments in Full Screen.
To move to the previous or next word, press CTRL+LEFT ARROW or CTRL+RIGHT ARROW.
To go to the beginning or end of a document, press CTRL+HOME or CTRL+END.
To view a document's organization and jump to different sections, on the View tab, in the Show/Hide group, click Document Map.

Hope this helps.
