MS Word Document as OLE Object in CR doesn't work

I am trying to place a multipage MS Word document into the details sections of a report file. When I export the report to MS Word I get empty object boxes and none of my OLE objects appear. I have tried several variations of this test and get the same results every time.

Oddly enough output to PDF works fine.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
