Im sure there is an easy way to do this.. but I have not found it yet.

When Word starts up the font automatically defaults to Times new Roman. Can you configure Word to automatically start up using a different font type / size etc.. ?

Wookie.

Find the file called normal.dot in the office folder and modify the font in there and then save it. Thiswill modify the default font for any new document you create.
It only works for new blank docs, if you want to change it for all of the template files word provides you will have to edit each *.dot file individually.

Hi,
Go to Format/Font. Select the font and attributes you want to use going forward. Click on the Default button in the lower left corner of the dialog box.

That ought to do it!
HTH,

Best,

HI
Thanks for your replies.. After reading some of the other posts I realised that it was the normal.dot template that needed changing, but thanks for the confirmation

Cheers
