MS-Word Column Shading

Hello, I have 4 columns in MS-Word. Each column is shaded gray. But each column length can extend longer then the other. When this is the case the long column continues on page two.

When Print Preview it looks great but when i print the 2nd page column loses the shading. Any ideas how i can preserve the shading on the long column extending to two pages?
