I inherited a Word document that a predecesor appears to have truely butchered with formatting styles. There is a numbered outline that I want to restructure. I select the entire section, then select Clear Formatting so I can start over. With the text still selected, I click on Format, and find that Bullets and Numbering is greyed out and not accessible. WHAT!!!!!
I just cleared formatting and, to my mind, just have plain text. Why would Word decide I cannot bullet or number this text? Is there anyway to tell Word fix this text so I can number it?
