Vista system: When using the MS plug-in to Word 2007 to publish a PDF file from a doc which includes formulae created using the formula editor, the resulting file, when opened using Acrobat Reader, shows corrupted formulae with super-sized numerics (i.e. perhaps 100pt). Creating a PDF file using "FreePDF XP" produces the correct results. Any ideas? Thanks.

Are you using the new EE or the legacy EE? If the former, stop using it and use the legacy EE.

One day their may be more fonts that can be used with the new EE.
