MS Word 2003 Performance

We have been experiencing performance issues with MS Word 2003 upon the implementation of passive integration of Hummingbird DM 5.

We have checked the application launch methods, etc. but nothing seems to improve system performance experienced when launching or closing the application. (15-20 sec)

Any helpful hints to improve performance would be much appreciated.
