I have a very complex merged word document with tables and text boxes that is taking forever to print even one page. Is there any way to format/group the items to ease up the printing/spooling time?

1. If you are choosing to collate them, forget it. It takes tons longer to print a collated job.

2. Hate to say it, try merging just 10 or 100 records at a time.

3. Instead of "merge to printer", use "merge to new document". Then, it only needs to merge in the first step and you can save it and then print it. I think you'll find this quicker, but can't be sure, and don't want to test here at home. I think you can understand. LOL Brainbench MVP for Microsoft Word
