MS Word 2000 format 1

When working on a new document in Word 2000 if I press the ENTER key to go to the next line, the cursor jumps to the end of the document. The page seems to start at the bottom instead of top. Wherever I am in the document, when I press Enter the cursor goes to the bottom of the page. This has only started happening recently but I do not remember selecting such an option. Any ideas?

Either you have something in your normal.dot file which is aligning to the bottom of the page or you have (I think) control stuck down.

Go to File-Page Setup and then the Layout tab.

Select vertical alignment to be TOP and then hit the default button and YES.
