The joke is on me. MS tells me that I have two critical security updates but they won't download. I get as far as the Agree to Terms window but not beyond. I am using Explorer 6. I have tried many times at all hours of the night and day but still no download.
Ideas anyone.
Thanks.
John

Try letting BigFix do it for you.

Humpty Dumpty was pushed!!

1. open a DOS box
2. delete the 'temporary internet files' folder
(type 'deltree /y c:\windows\tempor~1' [less quotes])
3. from the control panel or internet explorer,
open the 'Internet Options' dialog.
4. under the 'General' tab, select 'Settings' then
'View Objects'.
5. delete 'CV4 Class' and 'Update Class'.
6. close Internet explorer then choose 'Windows Update'
from the start menu.
You should have no more problems with updates:eek:)

Latefersupper:

I followed your instructions but at # 5 I did not show 'CV4 Class'. Mine says CV3 Class which I left alone. MS Security downloads still did not run. Did you mean to delete CV3 Class?

John

yes, delete the CV3 Class.... sorry.. mea kulpa!
afterward, be sure to close all instances of internet explorer, then go get the download

Good Morning:
I went through the whole sequence and deleted CV3 Class but still nothing happens after I click 'Agree' on the License Agreement.
