Hello,

This one has me baffled... After working with NT 4.0, I'm not entirely surprised to run into permissions conflicts in Windows 2000. Most of what I've seen, though, has not only made some sense but been resolvable. I can't make heads or tails of this one:

The problem occurs on Windows 2000 computers running Publisher 2000. This seems to be pretty consistent, though we've come across one exception and haven't nailed down a reason. The problem is this: when a user without local admin permissions on the machine tries to save an MS Pubisher 2000 document to a ZIP disk, they receive the following error:

"/!\ There is no floppy disk in the drive, please make sure that a disk is inserted and that the drive door is closed."

They can save to ZIP from any other Office application, and can even load from the identical ZIP disk into Publisher. They just can't write to the disk in that one particular applicaton.

This problem applies to standard users and power users alike. Only administrators are exempt.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!
