MS VPN client authenticates but can't see network resources?

This user is able to establish a connection to the Microsoft VPN, but can’t hit any shares or network devices on the corporate LAN.

One thought is the IP subnet of both networks remote and local are the same..

Corporate LAN
192.168.1.X
Remote user LAN
192.168.1.X

Is it possible that when we attempt to resolve devices on the Corporate LAN since the first three octets are the same it looks to resolve locally (remote users LAN)? From my office (10.100.100.x) I created a VPN connection and it authenticates instantly and I can ping the remote server even establish RDP to the server.

The topology

Corporate LAN
Sonicwall firewall
SBS Server 2008 (where the VPN terminates)

Remote user LAN
Netgear firewall
Windows XP Pro

maybe this will help someone..

That was the issue. changing the remote network to 192.168.2.x fixed the problem.

Note to self. Don't use 192.168.1.x when setting up corprate nextworks.
