We are having trouble with our new 64k leased line, we are using Termianl services over it.

The provider is saying that the reasonh for the drop-outs is due to the fact that we are pushing too much info down this line, I think this is a just a load of bull from them.

Am I right or could this be the case? Surely it shouldn't just drop the line..

cheers
Ian.

Need a little more info. How many users are using terminal services? What type of equipment do you have? What is exactly happening?

Cisco router to Cisco router, we then have 3 guys maintaining a number of System on the other end using MS Terminal Service. At any one poi8nt there wouldn't be more than 4 sessions open. The connection keeps dropping and the provider says that it is the amount of data that is killing the connection.

Even when ther are no sessions, if I ping the router at the other end from the router here I get;

etc.

This surely cannot be correct.

Sounds like you have a routing problem if you are getting 50% response from your ping, post your edited config of both routers, specificaly the serial configs and the routing configs.

Is it the "session" thats dropping, or the circuit?? Are you graphing the circuit for the utilization of the 64k line? If not use mrtg to graph the input/output util of the circuit.
