Can someone help me with this ---How can I make the service account for MS SQL server service to have write permissions on a folder. Thanks!

in the directory secutity settings.

My folder sits at Z:/Apps/DTS. All DTS packages are saved in the DTS folder, how can I make the service account for MSSQLSERVER service to have write permissions on this folder.
Thanks!

right click the folder and choose security.

The trick isn't to give the service rights to the folder, but the Windows account which the SQL Server is running under needs rights to the folder.
