I would like to know how does one install the licenses having purchased MS.SQL Server with 10 CAL?

Rgds,
SeisaT

With SQL Server its pretty much an on your honor thing. You don't actually have to install the licenses on the server.

Meaning?

I mean, I was asked how many concurrent users do I envisage using the database software when I purchased it? What was the significance of the question? Thus the impression I got was it comes with concurrent user licenses.

What exactly do you mean, Mrdenny, by it's an 'honor" thing?

Rgds,

On your honour as an IT Professional (BOFH anyone?), you have paid for MS SQL Server and you have not got more than 10 cals being used...

That shouldn't have asked for your concurrent users, but your named users.

This FAQ faq962-5153 covers a lot of questions about SQL Server licensing.
