I'm scheduled to take 70-229 SQL Server Design and Implementation next week. Fortunately, I've used the product professionally for 2 years, and have used the MOC text and the Transcender and SelfTestSoftware sims. I am wondering if the sims' scoring system is similar to what MS uses for questions where more than one response is required. If you supply 3 correct responses to a multiple part question, the sims count it as one correct response. If you get 2 responses correct and 1 wrong, the sims count the thing as one wrong response.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

I belive you get partial credit, but Microsoft does not share how they score the tests, however since you are answering 60 or so questions (depending on the tests) and the score is usualy out of 1000, there must be partial credit on answers and variable weighting.

Good luck on the exam!

I know when I'm studying using Transendars, I need to het 881 out of 1000 to pass, but even they don't tell how to approch the multiple choice questions.

As far as I am aware, Microsoft either give a RIGHT or a WRONG to these answers.

If you only choose 2 out of 3 correctly in a multiple answer question, the whole thing is marked as being 1 wrong answer.

Although the scoring is done out of 1000, the percentage always seems to work out to a whole number of questions answered.
