I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question.
My user have an Excel file which pulls data from external data source (SQL server) using MS Query. The Query is saved as a connection file, with connection string and the query defined. It has been working in an XP machine. We just gave the user a Windows 7 machine and migrated those Queries (connection files) to from XP to Windows 7. After copying the connection files to Windows 7 machine. It quit working and keeps saying connection problem. I checked and made sure that both XP and Windows 7 do not have the ODBC DSN set up. That means although the connection file specifies "DSN=myAccounting", there is no such ODBC. What is the option to try to fix without rewriting the queries?
Thanks.
