Hi,
I am emailing a MS Publisher file as - "Send as a Message" and the viewer see's "text boxes" if they leave their curser on any part of the page. Is this a setting that I can set to remove?

Thank you in advance for the help.
Steve

I don't think so. Which version of Publisher are you using? Why do you think the recipient is seeing text boxes?

Try opening the file in Publisher click on File go to Send and go across to page by email and click on it.

It will open an email heading for you to enter an email address for the person that you are sending the page to. You can only send one page at a time this way, and the recipients quality will be poor.

Best to send the file as an attachment.

To JPaules: My MS Publisher version is 2003

To renovatedman: I am currently using the steps your described. Thanks for the trouble-shooting

Have you had many people tell you that they are seeing text boxes? Or is it just one or two? Have you looked for any common factors? And (this may be a dumb question) but since many people have no idea what text boxes are and much less anything about Publisher, what have you been told by them?

Hi JP,
All users are seeing the ALT Text boxes. We are almost positive that this is a MicroSoft programming issue, dealing with ablity in the action script to turn on and off ALT Text boxes for a web publication. I had an Adobe Dream Weaver user take a look at the issue. In the code for some reason the MicroSoft is assigning an ALT text box (MS calls them Screen Tips). Dream Weaver has the ability to turn on and off the function in all phases (publishing, Web page, and email) in one step (option). This is not the same for MS Publisher as the MicroSoft programming ingores any Alt Text (Screen Tips) rules.
Hope this helps and thanks for the analysis.

Can you send me a sample email? I'd like to see that and the source file, if you want/can. Send it to jl underscore paules at hotmail dot com.
