MS Proxy Client 2 problem

Hi guys!

I've been having some trouble with my proxy server connection.

I can only use port 80!! This means Ie is it!! Nothing else can run: ICQ, Messenger, Flashget, ftp, telnet. IRC and so on..

I have tried to reinstall the WSP Client plenty of times.

Hi,

You need to open ports on the Proxy server to allow traffic through. Also, make sure the WinSock Proxy service is running. Let me know if you need more specific information.

I came across your post because I am searching for clues as to why ICQ suddenly stopped working when I installed the 16 July 2003 security fix from Microsoft. No idea why it stopped.
